Understanding Redundancy and High Availability of Ringroost

I'm currently happy using the ringroost servers and would be interested in sharing my experiences with other business owners and with another company I work for.

However, before I make the recommendation, I was interested in understanding more detail about how resilient the service is. For example, is this based on asterisk? Assuming so, do you have detail on how often backups are taken and what any restore procedures may be, in the event of a failure? Is there any high availability within the services? Are the supporting services maintained within the cloud? If so, is there any concept of DR that is working? If not, are there intentions to get to this point in the near future? Do you have an ETA? Are there official SLA's around these types of things or are these details a "best effort" at the moment. If they are "best effort," is the intent to create specific SLA's in the future? If so, do you have an ETA for that?

Thanks,

Joe

Understanding Redundancy and High Availability of Ringroost

Hi joe,

Sorry for the delayed response.

To answer you questions.

We have a asterisk cluster with Kamailio proxies cluster to load balance. We have fail over on multiple levels, to prevent service interuption.

Our servers our hosted on linode and AWS.

We currently only work on best effort. We don't have any immediate plans for specific SLA agreements, but that may change moving forward.

Thanks,
