Polycom v4011 VM Destination not found/ Same error with trying to intercom.

Hi,

The polycom ip550 on v4011 (most current) is registered correctly but I have the following issues.

1) "destination not found" error while trying to access VM.

2) I can dial out on intercom however, I can not find the "Allow Auto Answer by Call" setting, or anyting similarto accept an incoming intercom call. (*07x). When i try to intercom to the polycom I get "destination not found".

Maybe these are related.

Any help you can give me would be great.

*98 works.

Any idea how to reconfigure the "messages button"? When pressed "To:SIP UserName" appears, then I get the "destination not found".

I am not finding anything at the moment and do not that phone model to test with. Basically we need to replace the sip address with *97

The polycoms all use the same firmware.

That is the problem. Using anything other than the ringroost username in the SIP address causes the phone to unregister.

Do you think the same issue is affecting the intercom?

no, the phone needs ringroost username in SIP address to match credentials on the phone registrar.

For intercom dialing to work the receiving phone needs auto answer for intercom and speaker phone enabled to work.

Looking at the logs it also looks like you are trying to intercom with an ext number that is managed by another PBX.

Doesn't the intercom work SIP to SIP?

The main SIP 7ekvag8m5rfa is still a regiested line on the canna PBX. To that point, the new line x2 on the canna PBX can intercom fine to the main x1 line.

Call transfers between the 2 lines also works, which is ineresting I guess.

I made a line key for the VM.

Any interest in trying this? I found 2 articles with this same info. Needs to be done at the server level.

Also this from a polycom document:

1.1.5.4 Auto-answer
The Polycom SoundPoint line supports auto-answer based on call type. For instance, if a call is
placed from the Interaction Client, the connection call to the phone will be auto-answered. The
same holds true for an ACD assigned interaction (assuming the ACD Options are setup properly)
or a connection call as a result of opening a voicemail with the Voxform. The connection call will
also be auto-answered if the pickup button is clicked in the Interaction Client, or if the pickup
option is clicked in the “toast” popup with the .NET Interaction Client.
In order to enable this functionality, find the following line in the „sip.cfg‟ file:

And replace it with this:
voIpProt.SIP.alertInfo.1.class="3"/>
Next, open up the station configuration for the Polycom phone and on the General/Configuration
page, enter “Polycom” (not case sensitive) in the Manufacturer field. Make sure and save
changes to the station.
After the above steps have been completed, reboot the phone to reload the modified config files.
Exit and restart the Interaction Client attached to that phone. Verify operation of auto-answer in
the desired scenarios.

It is SIP to SIP but intercom and extension to extension calls should only work within the same PBX.

On the Canna PBX can you intercom from ext 1 to Ext 2? Are they both Polycom phones? Are they 2 serperate physical phones or one phone with multiple lines?

I can intercom from Ext 2 -> Ext1 no issues. When I go from ext. 1 -> ext 2 is when I get "Destinatin not found".

Extension 1 is Grandstream, Extension 2 is Polycom. Polycom seems to need that special line of code installed.
