Capture VM supersedes SIP Phone VM?

If I have a Fork, with some SIP Phones underneath, and the a final Capture VM, does the Capture VM supercede the SIP Phone VM control? Such that if the SIP Phone control is set to 3 rings, but the Capture VM is set to 4, does the Capture control over ride the SIP Phone VM setting? Or will it get sent to SIP Phone vm instead of Capture?

Capture VM supersedes SIP Phone VM?

The Capture VM will auto answer the call so you can't use it in the below manor. If you connect the "Capture VM" to the "SIP Phone" caller will be sent there after missed call on SIP Phone. Alternatively The SIP Phone control has built in VM functionality see: https://www.ringroost.com/user-manual.php#voicemail

Capture VM supersedes SIP Phone VM?

There are two ways to achieve this:

1. Create a "General VM box" and set each SIP phone so use that voicemail box. With this approach you will need to setup/record a greeting for each SIP phone by dialing "*00" and walking throught the promt.

2. Use the Capture voicemail control as a "catch all" for all of your SIP Phone controls. ie: connect all of the SIP phones to the one Capture voicemail.

Capture VM supersedes SIP Phone VM?

But then if those SIP phone are used as individual extensions, they loose their own VM box?

Capture VM supersedes SIP Phone VM?

O yes, you are correct. You can achieve what you are looking for by setting the "Rings" to 4 on the phones with extensions and set the "Rings" to 3 on the main company phone that has a "general VM box". The main phone would then always win the call if no one answered.

Would the above approach work for you? We may be able to look into adding a ringing feature to the "Capture Voicemail" control which would achieve simliar results if the above approach does not work.

Yeah, that would work, although your feature suggestion is good too. Is there a way to do main number ring thru multiple phones, no answer goto menu?«

Such that main number rings all phones. No one answers, so it goes to menu, Dial 0 to leave message, Dial 1 for Joe, etc?

The individual extensions will not loose there VM box - you just need to have one main company phone.
