Inbound calls not ringing SIP clients

We seem to be having trouble with inbound calls reaching our SIP clients (both hard and softphones).

Phones appear to be registered okay, and can call out. When an inbound caller tries to reach that same extension, the call goes directly to voicemail. If I unregister/re-register the SIP client, inbound calls work for a short time, then stop working after 10-30 minutes, even though the phone stays registered with ringroost.

Any suggestions?

Hi Bryan,

It looks like some of your devices are falling offline from our servers occassionaly. We changed some settings on our end to more aggressively ping your phones to try and ensure the connection stays open, however this probably won't be enough.

You will need to set the "Register Expiration" on your phones to a shorter period of time so that your phone will send register requests more often. I would recommend every 10 minutes or so if that is when your noticing the phones fall offline.

Thanks,

Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm making the change you've recommended to our phones, and I'll continue to monitor inbound phone availability.
