many questions about channel usage

many questions about channel usage

how many channels do we get for each phone number? are those channels pooled together? if we re-routing calls out to a land-line, does that mean I am using 2 channels for the 1 phone call? can I purchase more channels?

Does that mean if 7 callers call in simultaneously on one of my numbers, that each caller will go thru my PBX simultaneously without a busy signal or lost call?

Yes with the acception of:

If the call flows to a "SIP Phone" that is busy and only has one line, the user will get a busy signal. You can use the "Call Queue" prior to a SIP Phone in order to have calls wait in a Queue untill the "SIP Phone" becomes available.
