Menu Sound Recording Upload

Menu Sound Recording Upload

I am not able to upload sound recordings for the menu control. It shows the file as uploaded but nothing plays. I know the meni contol is working because it plays recordings I previously uploaded. I did note that the file upload does not now specify the file type like it did on previous file uploads. Also is there a file size limit?

Hi Support. My uploads are still not loading. I think I am doing it right. Maybe you could try adding a recording to the menu control PBX postcard and see if it works for you. Thanks so much!

Attached is a screenshot of the file upload screen. The recording Answer1 was uploaded a while ago and works if added to the menu control. Note how it has a file name and file type. The other one is a file I triled to upload yesterday. Note it has no file name and type. Maybe that doesn't mean anything. In any event, Answer1 plays, but anything I upload now does not. Thanks.

Thanks for your help! That worked! I can upload some files. But when I tried to upload a 3 minute message that was 5.62 mb and it failed. Is there a file limit? Can you increase my file size limit if there is a limit? That is about the length of message I need to upload. Sorry to keep having to contact you. Thanks so much!

We're here to help. We're not satisfied until we've either solved the issue or have a solid plan of action to make improvements.

I'm glad you've mentioned this because there isn't a limit on file size so it's something we're going to have to dig a little deeper into. We'll take a look at it and see if we can figure out a way to get that working for you.

Hey Craig,

Good news, I have answers. There was indeed a 2mb limit on file size. We've now increased it to 5mb. I know the file you had uploaded was just over that; perhaps you can get it down to just under 5mb? Shouldn't be too hard since you were only 0.6mb over, right?

I hope this helps you move forward in a timely manner.

Thanks so much! Yes, I figured out that it was the file size. I used a mp3 compression program (mp3resizer) and made the file smaller. I'm able to move forward. Thanks so much!! Now when you guys create the custom email address for sending voicemails I will be in 7th Heaven!! Thanks again for all your help!!
